4.) Discuss ethical considerations related to research studies at SLOA
As usual, these ethical questions are quite short....*sigh*.....(-_____-) Okay, to business.
There are four main considerations for the Sociocultural level:

There are four main considerations for the Sociocultural level:
- Social psychology often involves deception to avoid participant bias
- Informed consent should be gained, but sometimes it can't be gained conventionally because it will negatively affect the results. Participants should be informed about the tasks they are doing and, if possible, as many aspects of the study as can be disclosed.
- Participants need to be debriefed at the end of the study or as soon as possible
- Experiments should not change the self-efficacy of a person
* Davis (2007) also developed some ethical considerations pertaining specifically to cultural research:
- All study findings should be presented so as to be understood by its participants
- Do researchers have the responsibility to offer something relevant to native people regarding their own society?
- What is the point of assimilating oneself into a culture to learn more, then leave?
- How long does a cultural study last? Until grant money runs out?
- Informed consent is an issue because everything must be properly translated, and comments about the study must be given lightly so as to make sure there is no kind of offense against the participants from cultural group in question
